How it all started...

IsACatch.com was conceived by a friend who wanted to create a dating site for Keyvan called DateKeyvan.com. The concept behind it was simple and made sense to all of us: we had a lot of single friends we thought could take advantage of online dating but weren't going to muster up the courage to do it themselves. We decided to create a site where their friends could do it for them!

Some Deep Thoughts

We understand that there are a lot of dating websites out there for people to choose from. We wanted to build something different and fun! Here are some of our inspiration and thoughts that have led to building IsACatch.com.

1. We have friends that we think are great "catches." Since we care about them, we wanted to build something that might help them find that special someone. Cheesy but true.
2. We believe that our friends are one of our best resources in finding that special person. How else do you meet other cool people? Plus, who else can you count on to talk you up!?
3. We are not dating experts and never will be. We don't have Phds in sociology (or "pimpology" for that matter) and we don't plan on hiring any "dating" experts ever. If you are looking for personality tests or those other crazy matching systems... sorry, this site isn't for you.

The Team

Keyvan is the first user of IsACatch.com. He needs a date! After trying online dating sites and getting nowhere, he thought this problem applied to more people than himself, and hence IsACatch was born! Check out his profile at Keyvan.IsACatch.com to learn more about Keyvan.

Ryan is a programmer, voracious reader, and enthusiast of all internet phenomena. He is also highly motivated to find Keyvan a girlfriend. When not playing around with IsACatch.com, you can find Ryan checking out the tech section of your local library, and searching for the cappuccino just like the one he had in europe this past summer.

Charles digs buidling cool technology but continues to be considered an outcast because he is the only Asian person in the world that sucks at video games. He thinks that putting another shameless plug for Keyvan's campaign would sound too desperate.
